Welcome!  I am Larry Pitcher, president of Christian Record Services (CRS) and National Camps for Blind Children (NCBC).  CRS is based in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a Canadian branch in Oshawa, Ontario.  From these locations, CRS serves the blind in eighty countries around the world.

While you are visiting here, let me share the mission and purpose of Christian Record Services. For more than one hundred years, CRS has provided free Christian publications and programs for persons with visual impairments. The staff at CRS and its subsidiary, National Camps for Blind Children, is determined to offer every blind person in the United States access to these services. Also, CRS offers our journals and services to every blind person without discrimination. A survey of our blind campers and subscribers reveals that CRS annually serves more than 50,000 people from a very wide age span -- 10 to 90 years old. CRS ministers to nearly twice as many women as men.

People of all ethnic backgrounds use our publications, which are primarily in English (some Spanish material is also available). However, 58% of the blind people CRS aids live at or below the poverty level (earning less than $13,000 annually), and only one third live alone with a high degree of independence.

Our goal is to provide free services and publications to the blind. Most of the blind people who use our free services and publications simply cannot afford to pay for them. As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we receive money from people like you who want the blind to have an opportunity to read Christian publications and attend one of our NCBC camps.
